Upskilling elected officials, local government technicians, as well as stakeholders in the food system and the general public is an essential condition for the co-construction of cross-cutting local food policies that are commensurate with the diversity, urgency and scale of the challenges.
To achieve this, we are developing complementary educational formats:
-
interactive training courses, either in person or remotely,
-
autonomous, fun and geographically focused online training tools (MOOCs),
-
facilitation guides to facilitate their collective appropriation.
We also work within universities to train future professionals in community development and territorial engineering to better integrate agricultural and food issues into their practices.

Interventions in higher education
We work with post-baccalaureate students in a variety of courses: agronomy, political science, urban planning, geography, quality, environment, economics, international cooperation, etc.
Our interventions are adapted to the pedagogical needs of the training courses, with formats ranging from 2 hours to 3 days. They can include theoretical input, case studies, and group work.
Our contribution aims to:
-
to provide key knowledge on sustainable food systems
-
explore how each discipline can contribute to this goal
-
inform about the role of local public authorities
Examples of collaborations: Bordeaux Sciences Agro, Sup'Écolidaire (Lyon), Sciences Po Grenoble, School of Health, Environment, Quality of the University of Montpellier, the School of Mines (Paris), the Higher School of Agriculture (Angers), University of Lyon (Faculty of Urban Planning), etc.
MOOC – Online Training
We design online training courses accessible to everyone to better understand food systems and identify levers for action adapted to the territories.
These MOOCs are aimed at elected officials and local government staff, students, professionals, and anyone wishing to learn or take action. They combine theoretical input, feedback from experience, and practical resources in a flexible format that allows for self-paced learning.
They can also be used in collective settings (training courses, workshops, territorial initiatives), thanks to materials that facilitate facilitation and exchanges.
