EuroFoodXchange Project
PRESENTATION
The “EuroFoodXchange – Empowering Local Governments” project aims to strengthen the capacity of the municipalities of Prague (Czech Republic) and Galati (Romania) to develop and implement ambitious, participatory, and sustainable local food policies. The project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program and coordinated by Let's Food, in collaboration with Climato Sfera in Romania and the Prague Innovation Institute in the Czech Republic.
The project is structured around three objectives:
-
To train municipal teams (agents, elected officials, technicians) in territorial food governance.
-
Promote the exchange of practices between European communities in order to pool experiences, avoid pitfalls and accelerate the implementation of coherent local policies.
-
To produce and distribute educational tools accessible to all communities in Europe: a multilingual training kit and a documentary video for capitalisation.

DELIVERABLES TO ACCOMPANY PRAGUE AND GALATI
AND REPLICATE THE PROCESS
We produce several deliverables to support Prague and Galati – and more broadly, European communities – in developing territorial food policies. These resources capitalize on lessons learned from study trips and exchanges between partner cities:
-
Territorial food diagnoses and the beginnings of food strategies for the cities of Prague and Galați;
-
Multilingual training kit (French, English, Romanian, Czech) including:
-
theoretical contributions and methodological tools for designing a local food policy;
-
case studies illustrating inspiring municipal strategies;
-
a self-diagnostic guide for local authorities.
-
-
A video of testimonials from participating cities, presenting their feedback to inspire other European territories.
Deliveries available in September 2026!
